The theme of socio-political awakening has always been an important field of study for many scholars. Many Treatises - especially at the macro level have been brought out on this subject. But at the micro level very few attempts have been made in this direction. This is modest attempt to fill in the gaps and to further the interests of researchers in this important area. The economic change followed by the social awakening, leading to political development, is a sequence of considerable significance. East Godavari, the most populous district in AP today witnessed momentous changes in many areas during 1875-1925. The impact of these changes was felt not only in the Godavari area but also in the entire state. In this work, an attempt is made mainly to show that it was due to social awareness generated through economic prosperity and social reform movement that the district was able to play a leading role in the subsequent nationalist movement in this part of South India.
Many books teach the mechanics of using Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to compete in business. But no book addresses how to harness the incredible power of social media to make a difference. Although a substantial amount of research has examined the constructs of warmth and competence, far less has examined how these constructs develop and what benefits may accrue when warmth and competence are cultivated. Yet there are positive consequences, both emotional and behavioral, that are likely to occur when brands hold perceptions of both. In this paper, we shed light on when and how warmth and competence are jointly promoted in brands, and why these reputations matter.
